He also earned a Master’s degree in Transpersonal Psychology and a Bachelor’s in Natural Health Sciences, combining clinical expertise with deep spiritual insight.

As a passionate educator and innovator, Dr. Amato founded the Inner Harmony Wellness Centers and the Harmony Mountain Institute for Living, where he has led integrative healing programs since 1997. Through grants and partnerships addressing cancer care, addiction recovery, and childhood stress reduction, his work has been recognized by leading organizations such as the CDC, the American Cancer Society, and the Susan G. Komen Foundation.

He has authored and co-authored numerous peer-reviewed articles on spirituality in mental health, nutrition in addiction treatment, and mindfulness in schools. His thought leadership has been featured at major conferences, including the American Public Health Association, the International Scientific Conferences on Mindfulness, and the U.S. Journal Training Conferences, underscoring his role in advancing integrative approaches to health and recovery.

Dr. Amato also leads workshops, retreats, and certification programs focused on meditation, yoga, and integrative recovery. He offers training in Primordial Sound Meditation and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and is certified in yoga, Reiki, Quantum Reflex Analysis, and biofeedback.
